    Lancaster, CA - A1666864 [right], a 14 neutered Highland Terrier Mix who came in as a chipped stray. His name is 'Baby' Available 4/24, , a 1 y/o male Terrier Mix who came in as a stray. Available NOW - Please call the shelter at 661.940.4191 if you are interested in adopting any of the dogs I post. This shelter is a publicly funded County shelter with a high rate of 'strays' and 'owner turn ins' and therefore considered 'high kill'. if you are interested in any dogs I have listed, I urge you to immediately get in touch with the shelter for their adoption procedure.     Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Dogs can make good pets in California if they match your IifestyIe. The Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier is a medium sized, shaggy dog. Wheaten Terriers are friendly, cheerful pets. Wheatens get along well with children. Wheaten Terriers can usually be socialized to get along with other dogs, but are not a good choice for homes with cats. Wheaten Terriers are intelligent and should receive consistent training from an early age. Soft-Coated Wheatens do fine living in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
