GUEST PET POSTING: Our mom was admitted to inpatient hospice 2 weeks ago, but has been in and out of the hospital since the beginning of the year. So, we (Annie and Lily) are getting anxious for some consistent loving. We would like to find a home without cats because Lily will chase kitties! This is the only reason that our current caretaker can't keep us. We had a backyard and like to go out, do our biz, explore and patrol the yard, and then head back inside. On warm sunny days, Annie likes to sun herself on the back deck. One of the things that our mom asked is that we would find a good home together. Lily is an 11 year old scottie-dachsund mix who is spunky little A-dog with a fun, but bossy personality. She is active, protective, sensitive and loyal to the core. She is truly loyal and stuck by mom's side during her medical issues over the past several years. She loves lap snuggles and kisses and anticipates a little sit-down and snuggle time. Annie is a 10 year old wheaten terrier mix who is so gentle and sweet. She is active and playful, but has a very docile and compliant temperament. She likes to just be petted and to be near her person. We would be well-suited to an older single person where we can be the only pets. We would also do well with a couple. We have been around children and have done well, but Lily can be possessive at times. While we don't think that would be a risk, we do think a non-child household would be best, particularly on the heels of the past couple of months when they have been alone a lot. We are used to a fenced yard and lots of snuggles. We love to go for rides, and go to the groomers and to Petsmart. These dogs are not affiliated with Royal Potcake Rescue, but a courtesy listing on behalf of the kind person who cares for them until a forever home is found. Benji is a terrier mix that was adopted from Walton County GA A/C. He is very good with adults and kids, and most dogs. He is neutered, utd on shots, and mircochipped. Very sweet and calm and has never showed aggression towards anyone. He is a little bit of an escape artist and digs out of current owners fence. He needs room to run and maybe another dog to play with. Currently an inside dog and is house and crate trained.

Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier is a medium sized, shaggy dog. Wheaten Terriers are friendly, cheerful pets. Wheatens get along well with children. Wheaten Terriers can usually be socialized to get along with other dogs, but are not a good choice for homes with cats. Wheaten Terriers are intelligent and should receive consistent training from an early age. Soft-Coated Wheatens do fine living in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
